
Celebration of Life: November 12, 5 – 7
Laura Edith Hinkle, 82, passed away on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation in Greenwood, Indiana. She was born August 17, 1932 in Lawrence, Indiana, to George Washington and Delpha Irene Lingenfelter.
Laura was a long-time resident of Greenwood, Indiana. She graduated from Decatur Central High School in 1950. She worked at Indiana Lumberman Mutual Insurance Company, Skinner Motor Company, Southern Bowl, and she retired from Community Hospital South.
Laura enjoyed camping, oil painting, playing the guitar, and playing cards and board games.
Laura is survived by two daughters, Phyllis (George) Myers of Avon, IN and Melody (Robert Meshew) Hartwell of Victoria, TX; sister, Hilda Roberts of Indianapolis, IN; 5 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.
Laura was preceded in death by both parents; 6 sisters; 3 brothers; and one grandson.
A celebration of Laura’s life will be held at her Sister’s home on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m.
